If you are involved in any way with ham radio and have never listened to Jean Shepherd then you are either in for a treat and have a lot to catch up on, or are about to click away. BUT WAIT...
If you have listened to Shepherd before and didn't like his show then give "Shep - the ham" another chance and listen to the recordings below. Most people know of Jean Shepherd as the narrator voice for the movie classic "A Christmas Story", which was based on his short story of the same name. There are a couple of short biographies about him on the web if you want to know more about him. For this blog though, these are some of Shep's ham radio oriented shows. When I first heard these shows I must admit that I didn't get all of the ham references even though I still enjoyed the shows. Now that I have my license and can understand many of the references I find the recordings are still enjoyable and hold up well. Enjoy!
