FT3D Operation: Making the frequency name appear on the display
When you save a frequency to one of the memory slots you can name that frequency, usually with the callsign or some other indicator about the frequency usage. However the name is not always visible on the radio display.
The radio should be in VFO mode and you will be on either VFO A or VFO B with the frequency displayed. If you do not see the name for this frequency then press and hold the displayed frequency.
The bold font should slightly reduce in size and the name should now appear above the displayed frequency. If you want the larger font back and do not need to see the frequency name then press and hold the frequency. The bold font should slightly reduce in size and the name should now appear above.
Not too difficult when you know the "trick" but surpringly difficult to find just where this is documented.
